The yearly summer maintenance shutdown for the SciNet Data center has been scheduled for July 17 and 18, 2023. None of the SciNet systems (Niagara, Mist, Rouge, Teach, the file systems, as well as hosted equipment) will be accessible.

The scheduler will hold jobs that cannot finish before the start of the shutdown. Users are encouraged to submit small and short jobs that can take advantage of this, as the scheduler may be able to fit these jobs in before the maintenance on otherwise idle nodes.

Les travaux annuels de maintenance seront effectués au centre de données de SciNet les 17 et 18 juillet. Pendant ces deux jours, aucun des systèmes ne sera disponible (Niagara, Mist, Rouge, Teach, systèmes de fichiers et tout le matériel hébergé).

Les tâches qui ne peuvent pas se terminer avant le début des travaux ne seront pas lancées/. D’ici là, nous vous suggérons donc de soumettre des petites tâches de courte durée puisque l’ordonnanceur pourra profiter de nœuds qui seraient disponibles.
